The griff’s contributor meetings take place every Thursday at 5 p.m. in the SAMU offices (floor 3 of the SAMU bldg.) and on Zoom here.

None! We can work around most schedules, and there are no minimums or maximums for number of stories produced per year. If you’re too busy, or if you just don’t feel like writing for a while, that’s okay. All we ask is that you follow through with any stories you do pick up, and let us know if you need an extension.

We are always looking for contributors in all facets of publication! If you’d prefer to do a photo essay, or to partner with a writer to produce graphics or photos for their piece, we’d love to find a way to showcase your skills!

Of course! Our editors come prepared to our weekly meetings with story pitches that are ready to be written. We’ll provide topics, angles, sources, word counts, and deadlines. We’re always available if you have any questions or hit any roadblocks along the way.

We want to know what students from all across MacEwan are interested in reading. We’ll do all we can to ensure that story leads and ideas are followed up with!

Not at all. We will help you through every stage of researching, writing, editing, and publishing.

Every spring, we hire for the following fall/winter terms. Keep an eye out for our job postings on our social media. In the meantime, we can help you to build your portfolio to make your application even more impressive!
